- The panel calls a dropped session «Session is not valid»: Telegram no longer accepts it, and that session can't be brought back.
- «Reauthorization» moves a live account to a new session and can end other people's sign-ins. It isn't available for a dead session.
- You can replace dropped accounts with new ones using «Replace dead accounts»: they take over the old accounts' proxies.

A session drops when Telegram stops accepting the account's sign-in key: someone ended it in the device list, the previous owner closed it, or it ran from several addresses at once. In TeleTraff such an account gets the status «Session is not valid» in the [account manager](/en/modules/account-manager). A dead session can't be revived: it needs a new session or a replacement account, while «Reauthorization» only works on a live one.

## Why does a Telegram session drop?

Telegram doesn't explain the reason, so you work it out from the circumstances. These are the usual ones:

- Someone logged the account out by hand. Anyone with access to another open session or to the phone can end a sign-in in Telegram's device list.
- A bought account still has the seller's sign-ins. In our experience such accounts drop more often than others, especially in the first days after purchase.
- One session was run from different addresses. In our experience Telegram dislikes a sign-in key that works from different IPs at the same time.
- The proxy changes address. A rotating proxy reaches the network from a new IP each time, so to Telegram the account keeps moving. The panel flags such a proxy during its check.
- Telegram revoked the key itself. It happens without any visible cause: the session simply stops being accepted.

## How do I tell that an account has dropped?

The panel shows it in several places at once:

- The account row in the manager shows the status «Session is not valid»: Telegram no longer accepts this session.
- The «Invalid» tile above the table counts banned accounts and those whose session the panel can no longer use. The tile is also a filter: one click leaves only those accounts in the table.
- «Check» with the «Authorization» item returns «Session is not valid» in the «Check summary» window, with a hint on what to do next.
- If a session dies in the middle of a task, the panel marks the account dead and takes it out of work. The other accounts carry on.

## How is a dropped session different from a proxy problem?

From the outside they look the same: the task doesn't run. The fixes differ, so first work out which one you have.

- Status «Proxy is down» means the proxy is the problem. The account stays on it, and the panel refuses to launch with a hint to replace the proxy. The session itself is alive.
- Status «Session is not valid» means the account itself is the problem. A new proxy won't help: Telegram doesn't accept the sign-in key.
- If the proxy is rotating or changes address between checks, it can be what makes the account drop. The fix is one address per account.

## What should I do when a session has dropped?

1. **Run a check.** In the [account manager](/en/modules/account-manager) select the accounts and click «Check». In the «Account check» window keep the «Authorization» item. In «Check summary» the dropped ones show «Session is not valid».
2. **Rule out the proxy.** Open the [proxy center](/en/modules/proxy-center) and find the account's proxy. If it is among the ones that are not working, replace it first with the change-proxy button on the account card.
3. **Give the account a new session.** For a dead session the panel itself suggests two ways: import a working session or sign in to the account again. «Reauthorization» won't help here: for such an account it is hidden, and «The session no longer works — upload a new one» is shown instead.
4. **Or replace the accounts.** Select the dropped ones, open «More» and choose «Replace dead accounts». In the «Account replacement» window the panel shows the total price and you confirm the order. New accounts take over the old ones' proxies, and if the old proxy isn't working, another one comes from the pool.

> **What happens to the other accounts during a replacement?**
>
> The panel leaves working accounts alone. It replaces spam-blocked ones only if you tick «Replace spam-blocked accounts too», and deletes the old ones only if you tick «Delete the old accounts after replacing». Both boxes are off by default.

## What is reauthorization for, if it doesn't fix a dead session?

Reauthorization is upkeep for a live account. The panel signs in with the account's own working session, creates and verifies a new session, switches to it and signs out of the old one. It lives in the «More» menu and starts in the «Start reauthorization» window. It takes up to a quarter of an hour.

The main use is bought accounts. If you tick «End every other sign-in on this account», the old session ends all the other sign-ins, including the seller's. A typical case in affiliate marketing: you took a batch of accounts for a traffic launch, and before the first task you move them onto your own sessions.

## How do I make drops less likely?

- One account, one stable proxy. In the [proxy center](/en/modules/proxy-center) assign only proxies that passed the Telegram check. «Auto proxy» in the «More» menu spreads a batch of accounts for you.
- Use a static proxy, or turn on a sticky session with the provider: the address must stay the same between checks.
- Set the proxy policy in the [account pool](/en/modules/account-pools): «Do not change automatically» or «Replace with a free proxy». By default the panel stops.
- Move bought accounts onto your own sessions straight away with «Reauthorization» and the option to end other sign-ins.
- Keep the account's sign-in in the panel only. In our experience a second parallel session is often the cause of the drop.
- Run «Check» before a big task: dropped accounts drop out before the start, not halfway through.

Warm new accounts up first with the warm-up plan. If the account got a restriction instead of dropping, read the spam block guide. Where to get accounts and proxies is in a separate guide.

## FAQ

**Can I bring a dropped session back?**

No, a dead session can't come back. The panel advises importing a working session or signing in to the account again. If replacing is easier, use «Replace dead accounts» in the «More» menu.

**How is «Reauthorization» different from import?**

Import adds or replaces a session you bring yourself. «Reauthorization» works on an account that is already connected and alive: it creates a new session for itself and closes the old one, together with every other sign-in if you want.

**Is a dropped session the same as a ban?**

No. They are separate statuses in the panel: «Banned» and «Session is not valid». The «Invalid» tile groups both, because in both cases the account can no longer be used.

**What happens to a task if an account drops while it runs?**

The panel marks the account dead and takes it out of work. The task's other accounts carry on. The dropped one shows up in the «Invalid» tile and in «Check summary».

**How do I check accounts that aren't in the panel yet?**

The free account checker needs no sign-up. For a dropped session it returns «Session does not work» and explains: the account was logged out or its key was revoked.

**What happens to an account if its proxy stops working?**

The account stays on that proxy, but the panel won't launch it and hints that you replace the proxy. If the pool has «Replace with a free proxy» on, the panel takes a working proxy that has no account yet, from the same proxy group first.
